Kelly Gibson

As Principal Planning & Grants Strategist for OVID Solutions, Kelly is a leader in crafting economic strategies that fund and realize complex community development projects. Her reputation as a proven community leader is built on over two decades of public sector experience, where she successfully integrated award-winning economic development with landmark land conservation and historic preservation to earn national acclaim for Fernandina Beach. At the core of her work is a commitment to authentic placemaking, skillfully translating complex regulatory processes into clear, actionable steps that empower communities to honor their unique character while pursuing growth. Today, she channels this expertise into consulting and regional leadership, serving on the Board of the Northeast Florida Regional Health Council and as the Quality of Life Lead for the Resilient 1st Coast initiative.

When she’s not shaping communities, Kelly’s life in Fernandina Beach is joyfully orchestrated by her husband, three children, and a trio of huskies who are never shy about sharing their opinions. She channels that same energy into her role as Vice President for her kids’ competitive swim team, the Stingrays. Any quiet moment is likely spent in her garden waging a friendly war on vegetable pests or on a personal mission to rewild her yard one native plant at a time. On weekends, the whole crew can be found exploring Florida’s State Parks or combing the beach on the hunt for prehistoric treasure in the form of shark’s teeth.
